I wasn't much into working on this animation (since it only happens once, at the beginning of a game, when you focus more your attention on your build order than the effect ), but I was talked into following some requests. Another great mod A funny coincidence of this is that it looks quite realistic like dust being kicked up, if landing on a desert planet with a Brown commander
